CAA Class 1,2,3 and LAPL Medicals

Dr Timperley is an Authorised Medical Examiner (number 10423) for the CAA performing initial and renewal of class 2 medicals and renewal of class 1 and 3 medicals. He is also available to perform LAPL medicals.

After previously serving as the head of cardiology during a 20 year service in the Royal Air Force he has a wealth of expertise in dealing with aviation medicine, and also military and civilian flying experience.  He also lectures on the Basic and Advanced Aviation Medicine Courses at King's College, London.

Minor ECG abnormalities are a common cause of delays in receiving a medical certificate, and these can be assessed immediately without the need to refer the ECG on. If any further investigations are required they can be arranged and if a full cardiology consultation is required, this will be charged for and there will be no additional charge for medical (investigations will however be charged for separately). Investigations and the results can usually be arranged within 7 days and are usually arrange as a "one-stop-shop" allowing for a single visit for the majority of consultations.. The fees schedule is availabe on the fees page. The costs for tests include any hospital fees.
